Hello, internet. It's a lovely Friday and I am looking forward to a half-weekend (working Sunday). Not too much going on this weekend, except a golf date with TheGirl at a girl-friendly golf course and the Hawkeye kick-off party in the post below. So below are a few picks of the day for your ass (in the tradition of an email forum of which I am a part) and I will be back this weekend with some stories of revelry and overconsumption of delicious ales and meades. If you are in the Windy City this weekend and have nothing to do, check out the Chicago Air and Water Show. It is incredibly loud and awesome.

Song of the Day- Get in, Get out by Hot Hot Heat.
Rewatchable movie of the Day- Anchorman.
Sandwich of the Day- Fluffer Nutter.
Poker hand of the Day- Suited King, in early position. Bet that thing early.

Until the weekend.

i would stick with the lefty golf swing. as a lefty, golf courses are sometimes biased against us, and it is harder to find proper equipment, but i have to say that it will be more difficult in the long run to fight your normal mechanics and try to swing from the opposite side. golf, believe it or not, is a sport that athlecticism can be critical to if you do not take a lot of lessons. as an athletic person, you will have to rely on those natural abilities as opposed to a strong fundamental base. so stick with the southpaw approach. if you strike out on craigslist, go to a used equipment store near you or check out golf websites/bulletin boards and ask around. there is probably lots of good stuff out there for the taking.
